Insight Global is seeking a Solutions Architect to join a team with one of our top financial services clients. The Solutions Architect is responsible for providing support, guidance, and expertise to IT programs and projects from ideation to closure, performs research, identifies business and information technology trends and best practices, and recommends appropriate solutions, methodologies, and strategies for achieving organizational goals. This position will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team plus bring together business requirements with innovative technologies and guide the strategic solution definition.

The candidate should bring in top-level skills in enterprise systems and collaborate to transform technical debt into innovation opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of knowledge, but also be able to become an expert in key areas.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
Serve in the role of a Solution Architect within the enterprise technology organization. We are seeking an experienced architect who can communicate technology solutions to leaders, technical peers and business partners via roadmaps, conceptual diagrams, and solution documents. You should be thoughtful and possesses both technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to partner with internal and external teams to develop scalable, flexible, and cutting-edge solutions. You will be expected to collaborate with peers within the company to define and execute the organizations technical vision.
Ensures the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions
Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve
Influence, Negotiate and Lead technology alternative evaluations and implementations across the Technology and Line of Business organizations
Ability to work across a variety of third-party applications and internal built solutions
Consults the business to clearly understand the business problems and technology to understand the technology challenges of the solution and finds creative solutions through practical experiments and POCs.
Ensures architecture is flexible, modular, and designed to adapt easily.
Verify conformance to architectural patterns, practices, and enterprise/departmental procedures and policies

Required Skills & Experience

Able to understand business problem and then carefully spell out solutions that everyone in the organization can understand
8+ years delivering enterprise-wide Data Architecture, with strong understanding of platforms, integration (sourcing and provisioning) and governance
10+ years delivering enterprise-wide technology solutions across multiple business units within large organizations
Experience implementing Big Data solutions (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
Extensive experience with architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications
Experienced in developing or architecting IT solutions
Ability to create and drive the implementation of enterprise-level technology strategies
Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with the following programming languages: .NET, C++, Java, JSON
Comfortable challenging the status-quo
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Knowledge of architecture frameworks i.e., TOGAF
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Curious and skilled at analysis
Previous work experience within Financial Services/Banking
