Job Summary:

An Outpatient vascular technologist is responsible for performance of noninvasive diagnostic exams, obtaining patient history and preliminary interpretation of examinations. Also participates in data collection and analysis for research, preparation of reports, scheduling appointments in the vascular lab, contact with referring physicians, and administrative direction of the laboratory. They compare patients' most recent scans to previous results and assess diagnostic information. They are tasked with providing summary findings for physicians and other medical professionals involved with a patient's case.

Required Skills:

Vascular Technology Program - Required

License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State

• Vascular Technologist - Required

Certification

• BLS

Work Experience and Additional Information

• 5 years of ultrasound experience and 3 years in vascular testing

• Additional sub-specialty certifications may be required:

Cardiology: Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)
