Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 4:30pm / Friday 7:45am - 12pm

The role you'll contribute: The Sonographer - Women's Specialty Care performs diagnostic sonographic imaging of fetal and maternal anatomy, urinary and gynecologic anatomy or any other diagnostic studies as deemed necessary by the physician for interpretation and/or intervention. This individual assists the primatologist, urogynecologist and/or other physician specialist in patient care and procedures.

• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Assesses the patient's physical condition and age specific needs.
• Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Acquires patient's clinical history and provide accurate documentation for invasive procedures.
• Documents patient weight, blood pressure and other pertinent information depending on patient status.
• Assesses sonographic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of sonography.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in either obstetric and perinatal sonography, urogynecology sonography and/or other specialized diagnostic studies is preferred.
• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required.
• ARMDS OB Sonography
• BLS required

Preferred qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of sonography.
• Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographers preferred
• A history of working with a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist, Urogynecologist and/or other specialty trained physicians in the past is preferred.
