This full-time role offers a Monday to Friday day shift hours with variable shifts, 6AM to 2:30PM, 7AM to 3:30PM, 7:30AM to 4PM, and 8:30AM to 5PM. Please note that weekend work and two holidays each year are required, along with on-call duties approximately one day per week and every sixth weekend. This position is eligible for a generous sign-on bonus of $6,000 with a 2-year commitment!

Responsibilities:
  • Assists physicians with invasive procedures, adhering strictly to universal protocol standards to ensure patient safety.
  • Ensures accurate coding and tracking of exams through the RIS system; all exams are properly archived and interpreted via ISITE.
  • Responsible for the High-Level Disinfection of medical devices, supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Communicates instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and encourage cooperation.
  • Utilizes two patient identifiers for proper identification and reviews patient history against physician orders to ensure optimal data acquisition.
  • Performs various technical ultrasound procedures, correlating patient history and lab data to aid in medical diagnosis under physician supervision.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, showing care and respect towards patients and colleagues while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Utilizes ultrasound equipment proficiently, ensuring optimized image acquisition and documentation while adhering to established protocols.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.RDMS registered or registry eligible preferred.Completion of Physics portion of registry preferred.Must obtain RDMS within 12 months of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
