We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our team and grow with us. You'll earn $70,000-80,000 depending on experience. SUMMARY: The Sous Chef is an essential part of the leadership team at Barbuto with primary responsibility for managing kitchen staff, place and receiving orders, taking inventory and filling in as needed on any station. We view our Sous Chefs as potential and future Chef de Cuisines and provide the training and experience to develop your career.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but may not be:
- Be a leader in the restaurant and a resource for answers
- Supervise staff to complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. Assist as necessary.
- Work any station on the line, during any service and set an example for others to follow
- Place daily orders according to Order Sheet or direction from Chef.
- Organize and store deliveries making sure invoices are correct, prices are as expected, and quantities are what was ordered. All product must be well organized and stored at correct temperatures
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Support others around you to provide the best guest experience
- Offer suggestions for improvement to management
- Train new staff as requested
- Ask for help when needed
