The role you'll contribute:

As a senior sous chef, you are to assist in the daily management of the kitchen and restaurant, answering to the Executive Chef, Manager or Director of Nutrition Services Dept. Your responsibilities are supervising kitchen staff and coordinating the food production process. Your job duties include enforcing health and safety standards, training staff, assisting with food preparation, checking the quality of the work of the line cooks, and communicating with front-of-house leads to ensure a high level of service. Assists Executive Chef in menu planning and recipe development. You will need strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure. Assumes responsibility for kitchen and food service associates in absence of Executive Chef.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
  • Culinary School, College, or University program certificate; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to interpret and perform basic computer functions, including MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
