The Condition Assessment Lead will provide leadership to HDR's practice of condition assessment and system rehabilitation through building a resource network of HDR experts and trusted, specialized contractors to serve a variety of public and private water, wastewater and stormwater clients.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competence of the area business-class to meet client needs and identify and anticipate market drivers.
  • Participate in delivery of project services to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Serve as the area champion for identification and pursuit of condition assessment projects within the area.
  • Coordinate with area business development team regarding condition assessment pursuits
  • Participate in technical practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices.
  • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting and plan implementation.
  • Mentoring area staff in the region.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Strong client and project management skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years water, wastewater, and stormwater-related experience including project management and condition assessment.
  • Spirit of using science and technology to improve reliability of buried infrastructure.
  • Committed to quality and improvement of the condition assessment practice within HDR.
  • Eager to take on challenging projects, explore new technologies, and embrace HDR 's values.
  • A strong focus on Health and Safety, and a history of safe project execution.
  • Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
  • 10 years of experience
  • Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
  • Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience experienced in development and management of diverse teams
  • Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
