Spares Technician, Global Service Manufacturing

The Spares Technician will be responsible for identifying spare parts, transacting parts into and out of inventory system, organizing and stocking parts in a variety of warehouse locations and transporting materials between warehouses. Spares Technician is expected to be able to execute instructions from the Equipment Maintenance Leadership and Spares Material Buyer to receive parts systematically and accurately, physically locate parts, quickly understand urgency, and needs of part to be able to shift priorities. Spares Technicians will perfunctory data entry tasks, create physical and systematic inventory locations for warehouse inventory storage systems, and will often perform periodic inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy. The Spares Technician is expected to work closely with equipment maintenance team, able to communicate daily progress updates, and be proactive in driving continuous warehouse and logistic improvements. Experience with material handling equipment and warehouse systems are preferred.


Responsibilities

• Provide support to all Equipment Maintenance personnel when spare parts are needed
• Identify spare parts and track down to prevent loss of goods
• Able to understand a spares parts list, shipping invoices to perform inventory tasks
• Printing and label creation for inventory address systems
• Continuously performing physical counting of inventory and organizing material to optimize space
• Expected to communicate with external vendor and suppliers for part repairs, return and exchanges
• Complete tasks as directed with in timelines given, able to shift unforeseen priorities and task quickly

Requirements

• Packaging, stocking, shipping experience
• Basic understanding of warehouse systems
• Ability to use Excel and expected to learn internal inventory system tool applications
• Ability to perform repetitious duties while standing for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 30-50lbs. Not afraid of using high-step ladder to store and retrieve parts within reasonable weight and size limit
• Understand proper and safe use of pallet jack
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation

$25.88 - $49.00/hour, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
