Ensures that students, educators, parents and community partners are informed about and engaged in the choice and enrollment process through print, digital, and event communications. Develops and executes communication strategies, materials, and approaches that inform and engage a variety of stakeholders.

What You'll Do:


  • Leads the development and execution of communications plans to support SchoolChoice objectives throughout the District and in shared boundary enrollment zones, supporting the priorities of the Communications Office.
  • Manages all internal and external marketing, communications, and outreach related to the SchoolChoice enrollment process through the development of print communications; oversight of digital strategy and execution; maintenance of website content and online tools; and management of media requests and press releases.
  • Produces an annual report summarizing program results and impact as well as an annual Enrollment Guide publication series, managing all content creation, translation, print, and distribution processes.
  • Creates all messaging for family communications and collateral, including family-facing documents related to the SchoolChoice enrollment process.
  • Manages the School Finder online directory of schools and their offerings.
  • Managers the annual District Map project, including managing all content creation, translation, print and distribution processes.
  • Supports the Communications Office with the development and implementation of strategic communications plans to attain enrollment objectives.



What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field preferred.
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of comprehensive experience in the communications field, marketing, and/or internal communications, preferably with experience in education or a public agency.
  • Fluency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Slides); Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional oral, writing, proofreading and editing skills, as well as experience with tailoring messaging to a variety of audiences, including families for whom English is not their first language.
  • Solid creative skills to develop messaging and visual concepts that will inspire stakeholders to action.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take responsibility for one's own performance.
  • Exceptional relationship building, strategic planning and project-management skills necessary to organize a variety of stakeholders around common goals.
  • Strong knowledge of AP Style.
  • Familiarity with District departments and schools and a willingness to travel to sites throughout the region.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
  • Colorado driver's license, clean driving record for the past three years, and reliable transportation to travel to and from schools throughout Denver.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
