Reporting organizationally to the Director Event Technology & Operations, the Mobilization specialist will be a key member of the FIFA26 Technology team, and work in close collaboration with the Technology teams based in Canada, Mexico and Zurich and other key individuals. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of our large-scale technology tournament and event operations by meticulously overseeing the deployment, coordination, and scheduling of technology staff and resources.

THE POSITION
Operational Plans and Training:
  • Develop and implement operational plans to ensure seamless project execution / mobilization of all personnel.
  • Conduct training and orientation sessions for staff to familiarize them with project requirements and operational procedures.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve training programs to enhance staff readiness and performance.

Rostering and Scheduling:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed staff schedules for technology teams across venues and tournament and event operations.
  • Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of staff based on supply chain distinctions, specific skill sets, expertise, and project requirements.

Resource Deployment:
  • Plan, organize, and manage the mobilization of personnel to multiple sites simultaneously.
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery of resources to various national and international locations.
  • Oversee the comprehensive setup and demobilization during / for the dissolution.

Project Planning and Execution:
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and key stakeholders to thoroughly understand project needs, goals, and timelines.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive mobilization strategies and detailed procedures to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress diligently and adjust plans as necessary to ensure adherence to timelines and delivery schedules.

Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to mobilization and staffing, developing robust mitigation strategies to address and resolve them.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards during all mobilization and operational activities.
  • Address and resolve any issues promptly, maintaining operational continuity and efficiency.

Budget and Cost Control:
  • Develop, manage, and monitor mobilization budget, ensuring cost-effective use of all resources.


YOUR PROFILE
  • University degree or similar higher education in Business Administration, Sports Management, Logistics or Human Resources
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • High proficiency in project management and scheduling software, with the ability to leverage technology for efficient planning and execution.
  • Experience and familiarity of ITSM protocols
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mobilization, logistics, staff planning, or project management, preferably in the sports or events industry.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale mobilization projects and technology staff rosters across diverse and geographically dispersed venues.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
