SUMMARY:
Perform essential duties, lead and direct the work flow of the Payroll Department to ensure that all payroll is processed in an accurate and timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Compile, consolidate, and perform payroll data entry of payroll information ensuring accuracy and completeness such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, employee withholdings, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.
· Assist with ensuring that all operations of the Payroll Department are administered in accordance with Company policies, principles, and procedures.
· Review payroll data and correct any errors found in a timely manner to ensure accuracy of payroll.
· Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records.
· Record data concerning transfer of employees between departments.
· Prorate expenses to be debited or credited to each department for cost accounting records.
· Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
· Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for all payroll and employee benefit accounts.
· Keep records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.
· Prepare and issue paychecks.
· Prepare monthly payroll accrual, as well as assist in submission for payment.
· All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Prefer candidates with a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a minimum of 3 years ADP or Ceridian payroll experience.
