Job Description:

Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies company, is seeking a Program Finance Specialist. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the financial management, review and forecasting of assigned programs. They will partner with program management and other project teams to analyze and understand the financial position of their program. The selected individual will prepare project forecasts including variance analysis (monthly and quarterly), support monthly close activities, support establishment and maintenance of project baselines and project EAC's and is responsible for project setup and maintenance within the financial system.

Essential Functions:

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly program reporting and analysis
  • Preparing program financial forecasts and Estimates at Completion (EACs) by working with Program Management and other Program team members
  • Tracking, monitoring, and analyzing cost performance on program(s)
  • Generating monthly earned value metrics for assigned program(s)
  • Supporting monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate project reporting
  • Providing financial analysis for audits and other financial activities
  • Monitoring program invoicing/payment status


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of experience in an accounting/finance role
  • Experience developing program financial preformance reports and ad hoc reports
  • Experience with EVM
  • Experience with MS office
  • Ability to use advanced MS Excel features and functions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in defense, aerospace or other government contracting envirionment
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion
  • Active US government security clearance
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner with moderate supervision.
  • Knowledge of EVMS processes
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Self-starter that can work independently and in team environment
