AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to- market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Within WWSO, this position is part of the Worldwide Specialist Team, where you will lead the global GTM plan for Microsoft Workloads, for Healthcare and Life Sciences customers, throughout AMER. You are a leader for specialists, architects, partners, and account teams around the world and set direction and standards for how we solve customer problems in your domain. You partner with technical and business teams across AWS and bring the voice of the customer into our product development roadmap. The WW team sees the big picture and sets the plan so the world's most customer obsessed technical teams can make history.

Key job responsibilities
• \tLead GTM to orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to accelerate adoption of your aligned technology domain.
• \tLeverage your deep domain expertise to create best in class field enablement and sales strategy.
• \tSupport field teams in solution building for high priority customers.
• \tBring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
• \tOwn reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.
• \tDemonstrate thought leadership and be able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud by using microservices and application modernization techniques
- Expertise in highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server, storage, and security and privacy frameworks
- Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
- AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud services, cloud native design and/or cloud implementation experience
- Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired.
