Speech Language Pathologist

We are proud proud to partner with a premier nursing home in Gallup, NM, specializing in sub-acute care. We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a full-time, permanent position. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a licensed SLP with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) who is dedicated to enhancing patient quality of life through expert care and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans focused on functional communication and swallowing, tailored to each patient's discharge needs.
  • Provide high-quality direct patient care in speech-language pathology.
  • Participate in 72-hour meetings to discuss and plan patient discharge, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled rehab team to deliver therapy and achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  • Utilize the well-equipped therapy gym, open 7 days a week, to implement treatment plans effectively.
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid New Mexico SLP license with CCC (CFY candidates cannot be considered for this position).
  • Proven experience in speech-language pathology, preferably in a sub-acute or long-term care setting.
  • Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of patient care.

Compensation:
  • Hourly range: $42.06 - $46.22; rates are negotiable.
  • Potential for sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance, and/or student loan repayment options.

Schedule:
  • Full-time position, hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
