• Therapy Services

  • Work hours: PRN: On an as needed basis - between the Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM time frame, Very Flexible Schedule, Hours Vary, Weekend and holidays are rare.

Therapy Services:

• Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne is a 137-bed, full-service hospital that has served Cleburne and the Johnson County area since 1986. Located about 35 miles south of Fort Worth, hospital services include surgery, gastroenterology, orthopedics and ear, nose and throat care. The center has over 80 physicians on its medical staff and has been recognized as a Top Performer for Quality Care in a nationwide performance improvement project, an accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers and designated a Pathway to Excellence® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Here's What You Need

• Master's Degree Speech Language Pathology Required Or
Other Post-Baccalaureate degree recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Required

• SLP Experience with adult population, acute care hospital-based, inpatient and outpatient setting.

• Experience with Modified Barium Swallowing Studies (MBSS)

• SLP - Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire Required

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.

• Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.

What You Will Do

• Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

• Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.

• Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home
programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

• Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

• Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel
