Spring 2025 - Corporate Communications Intern in GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:

This is a Spring in person internship opportunity from January/February to April/May 2025. This position is posted until 10/13/2024 , and interviews will start in November .

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

1. Research and write news releases for external audiences
2. Copyedit and fact-check marketing collateral and other materials
3. Assist with content research and creation for publication and distribution of social media, electronic and print materials
4. Assist with web and social analytics and reports5. Assist with implementing the companys overall media strategy
5. Assist with general office administrative and other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Education and training requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelors degree and above in English, journalism, public relations, communications or related field graduating after May 2025
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher required
• Junior level or above
• Must have reliable transportation
• Work at least part time 20 hours a week for 14 weeks from January/February to April/May 2024

Experience and other requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• In-depth knowledge of AP Style
• Knowledge of social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn), how they work and their respective functions; use of social media in a professional or academic setting is a plus
• Must be willing to work independently or in teams
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of photography and/or Adobe Creative Suite
