Job Title: Spring Food & Beverage Intern

Description:

Assistance in daily supervision of the dining room, events, staff and support and development of the food and beverage department. Focuses on marketing outreach to increase business and boosts overall member engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists with food and beverage operations at restaurants at the Union League's clubhouse in Center City.
  • Learn SevenRooms, our reservation system. Identify ways to increase member satisfaction and help managers get the most out of the system.
  • Keep in constant and clear communication with management and colleagues via email. Utilize Office 365 for chat features and file sharing.
  • Reviews member receipts and practice standard loss prevention techniques to ensure proper charging and billing.
  • Helps complete reports on dining numbers including covers, revenue, average check amount, etc.
  • Keep a detailed log and tracking sheet of our new and pre-existing uniforms in house.
  • Willing to train in all staff positions.
  • Works to uphold League standards.
  • Helps develop a marketing strategy to stay consistently active and engaging for members.
  • Creates weekly reach-out messages to increase cover count and overall business.
  • Works efficiently in SevenRooms and is able to assist support staff in any SevenRooms related questions.
  • Personalizes reservations with "plus one touches" (i.e.: flowers, cakes, note cards, etc.).
  • Develops relationships with all departments and is knowledgeable of all Union League properties.
  • Owns every call/email. Manages member's and guest's requests and ensures members are directed appropriately.
  • Flexible schedule based on business and event needs; required to work evenings and weekends.
  • Works holidays including Thanksgiving, Holiday Brunch, etc.

  • Proficient food, service and beverage knowledge
