Technical/Functional Skills

-Minimum of 8+ years SQL Database Administration, SQL Server installation and migration and Patching -Minimum of 8+ years of Always on Availability Groups HA-DR, Clustering -Minimum of 8+ years of Backup and Recovery, Jobs configuration, Log shipping, Should have exposure to some of these skills: CyberArk, SOX, Fog Light, SQL Idera, SOC, OP Manager, SSMA, BIDS, Service now, Veaam Backup tool, SQL Sentry, Safeguard, Ola scripts, SQL Profiler, Commvault Activity Monitor, DTA, Solar Winds.

Experience Required

DBA Administration activities installation, and configuration of SQL servers. Configure and monitor Always on/ Clustering; install configure and manage cluster. Manage backup and restore including native backups. Create logins and users provides the access. Responsible for enable the TDE. Configure and monitor the jobs.

Roles & Responsibilities

Around 10+ years of experience in SQL Server Database design and Administration production support in OLTP and OLAP managing large-scale databases in a production and development environment. Experience in Installing & upgrading SQL Server 2019/2017/2016/2014/2012/2008R2/2008/2005 on Windows environment. Experience in performing SQL upgrades, security updates, and Cumulative Updates within release cycles to maintain the supportability of the platform. Experience in Database Migration of In-place upgrades and side-by-side upgrades to new hardware/new version Domain knowledge about DC technologies like Storage, Active Directory, Network, VMware, Hypervisor, Security, etc. Configured and troubleshot Always on Availability Groups HA-DR, Clustering, Database Mirroring, and Log shipping. Configure and troubleshoot the Windows failover cluster services (WFCS) for always-on setup. Create new databases and overwrite test databases with copies of production databases while maintaining proper security. Created effective Backup and Recovery plans by Transactional logs and Full Database Backups and utilized them to recover data at a point in time in case of a disaster on the

server. Experience in implementing Security models, Database Authentication Modes, and creating logins and users on databases. Troubleshoot application database connectivity, SQL server issues, query performance, SQL HA/DR Always On latency. Experience configuring SQL Agent jobs, alerts, and operators with SQL Server Agent, Linked Servers, and Database Maintenance Planning. Knowledge of Transactional, merge, and snapshot replication Monitors database growth and monitor the health of the database (Capacity Planning) Experience in configuring Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) with Safeguard. Experience in figuring out the performance counters, and bottlenecks at the server level by monitoring CPU usage, I/O pressure, and Memory issues. Widely used SQL Server tools SSMS, Disk management, Performance monitor, DTA, SSMS, DMVs, DBCC commands, and system stored procedures) Worked on SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS installation and configuration; functioned ETL process creation and data warehousing; deployed SSIS Catalog packages. Involved in DR recovery and documented the process. Maintain the SQL server security by setting up authentication modes and SQL logins password enforce policy and Audit. Experience in Index tuning and applying index on necessary columns to improve the query performance. Implemented the maintenance solution for a database such as Rebuild Index, and Re-org Index, and Updated statistics. Coordinated with Windows, application, Cloud, and network teams and change management to smooth delivery operations.
