Job Summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring a Senior Administrative Associate, Biophysics.

The Department of Biophysics is seeking a professional, proactive, and positive individual to join our team in the position of Senior Administrative Associate.

As a valued team member, you will provide comprehensive operational support to the division's faculty members, medical directors, and research personnel.

Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or directly related field and five (5) years related experience required
  • Prefer two (2) years previous supervisory experience or experience in a lead role
  • May consider additional years of experience in lieu of degree
Job Duties

• Supervises staff members and provides training to include managing workflow for maximum efficiency.

• Coordinates for faculty including recruitment, evaluations, merit increases, promotion & tenure, and post tenure.

• Classified staff recruitment for department. Coordinates and/or prepares staff performance evaluations and recommendations for merits.

• Enters and/or approves forms for the following: appointment, transfer, terminate, change titles and/or salary as well as other personnel changes.

• Postdoctoral fellow recruitment as well as visas for both postdoctoral fellows and students.

• Analyzes financial status for hiring, pay increases, and terminations.

• Prepares and coordinates onboarding and offboarding for faculty, postdocs, students, and staff.

• Designs and maintains a system of internal controls for candidates as well as new hire/termination.

• Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
