Your Job

In this role, you will own and drive our DevOps strategy for our business. Additionally, you will be responsible for partnering and providing the technical oversight and solutioning needs to drive greater transformation. You will be expected to collaborate with global teams to set best practices, socialize them, build organizational maturity, and ensure we are enabling modern application architecture.

KGS (Koch Global Services) provides transformational global business solutions, leveraged capabilities, and advisory services for Koch businesses. We create value by helping businesses close their strategic and operational gaps by profitably applying the following capabilities: IT, Human Resources, Finance, Data & Analytics, and Facilities & Real Estate.

This role will be part of our leveraged domain architecture group. We deliver solutions, expertise, and partnership that enable growth and empower Koch businesses to design, build, and deploy technology necessary for transforming their businesses. The team is responsible for the architecture needs for various enterprise applications and platforms across the following domains:
  • Infrastructure
  • Integration
  • Data Management
  • Modern Application
  • Security / Compliance
  • Dedicated Capabilities - Finance, Employee Knowledge Enablement


What You Will Do
  • Interface with all levels of the organization to identify business opportunities, support strategic projects, guide long-term technology innovation changes, and enable and drive business transformation.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide technology strategies aligned with KGS's business objectives.
  • Identify alternative architectural approaches and create recommendations based on economic analysis and business requirements.
  • Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, innovative IT solutions that drive business transformation across various business capabilities.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and collaboration across the organization to ensure that technology solutions meet business needs and drive growth.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Minimum of 10 years of applied expertise in software development, infrastructure or architecture.
  • Demonstrated expertise with mentoring and growing engineering and application engineers.
  • Experience building and influencing sustained IT and business strategies.
  • Comfortable with digging in to discover organizational inefficiencies that are ripe for transformation.
  • Applied proficiency with Cloud Platforms, namely AWS.
  • Applied proficiency with Infrastructure as Code frameworks and SDKs.
  • Applied proficiency with Configuration Management methods and platforms.
  • Applied proficiency with architecting, designing and delivering on solutions that server enterprise patterns that accelerate team delivery.
  • Applied proficiency with containerization management and deployment strategies which would include high levels of expertise with docker and Kubernetes.
