Role and Responsibilities :

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 6 to 8 years of experience specializing in Spark in Scala Amazon S3 and PySpark. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Cards & Payments domain. This role involves developing and optimizing data processing workflows ensuring high performance and reliability. The candidate will play a crucial role in driving the company's data strategy and enhancing our payment solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize data processing workflows using PySpark Unix Spark in Scala.
• Ensure high performance and reliability of data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions with existing systems.
• Implement best practices for data storage and retrieval using Amazon S3.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and storage.
• Design and implement scalable data architectures.
• Monitor and maintain data pipeline performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
• Document technical specifications and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Possess strong expertise in PySpark Unix Spark in Scala.
• Have extensive experience with Amazon S3 for data storage and retrieval.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Cards & Payments domain.
• Show proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
• Exhibit excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Have a proven track record of designing scalable data architectures.
• Display a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Hold a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Preferably have experience with other big data technologies.
• Show ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• Have experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Be detail-oriented and highly organized.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 09/30/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $[100,000 - 110,000 USD] depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
