Compensation - Hourly Rate Starts ~ $75-$85 / hour (Depending on Experience)

ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE

Medix is currently seeking a Sr. Azure Cloud Platform / Site Reliability Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our healthcare clients.

Our client is a TRICARE provider, serving Federal Government Agencies and the DoD/US Military with healthcare coverage. They have a portfolio of dockerized microserve applications, and are seeking to build a fully automated platform for application deployments - working with Terraform, Kubernetes and Continuous Delivery (ArgoCD)

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS SR KUBERNETES ADMINISTRATOR WILL INCLUDE:

• Working as a Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer to build an automated deployment platform for microservice, containerized applications
• Seeking deep expertise in Azure
• Automating the entire CI/CD pipeline process - from ADO & Git code repositories through production deployments
• Setting up, configuring, troubleshooting AKS clusters
• Developing and managing Terraform modules
• Orchestrating and managing docker containers through the use of tools like ArgoCD, automatically updating images from changes in the Git repo.
• Creating and managing Helm charts for deployments
• Following a variety of deployment strategies (ie, blue-green, canary, etc)
• Investigating and resolving the escalated engineering issues for production workloads in a cloud environment
• Setting up the application logging and metrics using using tools like Prometheus and Grafana dashboards
• Documenting best-processes and standards for knowledge-base
• Assisting in support software and/or cloud-infrastructure on an on-call rotation basis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• US Citizenship is required
• Minimum 7-10+ years professional experience
• 5+ years consistent experience in the Microsoft Azure Cloud
• 3+ years with Terraform Enterprise
• 3+ years experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
• Strong experience with Docker and CD tools like ArgoCD
• Experience with cloud monitoring / metrics tools like Prometheus or Grafana
