TriZetto Denials and Contract Management (aka NHXS) project is a very large database application modernization project. We are doing a complete rewrite of the legacy NHXS production application from the ground up as a fully scalable Azure cloud-based product to handle emerging demands to process up to 10 million claims transactions per day. The legacy system has maxed out at a million claims per day.

You will be deep into analyzing existing legacy application T-SQL store procedures, then migrating/rewriting the 14 legacy modules as scalable Micro Services in C#. You will build Azure cloud infrastructure to auto-deploy the new system to both CERT for testing and validation, and Production for live deployment. You will be involved in all areas of the software development life cycle (i.e., legacy analytics, software engineering, quality assurance, and technical communications), working with support and the NHXS Gold maintenance team.

Job Title: Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Role: Senior Software Engineer / Developer / DevOps

Essential Functions:

• Analyze legacy product T-SQL stored procedures to extract data structures, algorthms, processes then migrate/rewrite in C# as scalable Azure Micro Services.

• Convert legacy claim batch processing to single-threaded cloud-based claim processing. The Azure cloud-based version must be able to auto-scale up to 10 million claims per day, as compared to only 1 million claims per day with the legacy product in current production.

• Build, test, deploy Azure cloud infrastructure to auto-deploy NHXS Micro Services in Azure cloud CERT and Production.

• Write documentation describing/detailing the new cloud implemenation to support long term maintenance.

• Collaborate with the NHXS team to analyze / understand the legacy stored procedures, then design, implement, test, and validate new Micro Services with claims data. Work closely with QA to validate new cloud version of the NHXS product against the legacy version to demonstatably prove the new system achives the same results.

• Participate in design and technology discussions, and code reviews with System/Software Engineers and QA Analysts.

• Collaborate with team software engineering and QE team members.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree (or better) in Computer Science. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience:

Minimum of eight years' related experience in a software development environment - Azure/DevOps

Desired Experience:

• Deep experience developing software for data driven, high volume data processing database applications.

• Significant experience with Agile Scrum - experience with SAFe Agile a plus.

• Healthcare (Health Plan) industry experience preferred.

Technical Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong experience with MS DEVO (Azure DevOps) platform; DEVO Board and DEVO source code control, and Git.

• Good to excellent facilitation, negotiation, influencing and problem solving skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $82K - $112K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
