The Sr Biomedical Equipment Technician provides professional technical service and support to ensure the high quality and cost-effective management of the medical imaging equipment within the assigned area(s) of Community Health Network and other locations supported by the Clinical Engineering Department. This role will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and verify performance of the assigned imaging equipment and systems, in accordance with Clinical Engineering policies and processes, to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the Medical Equipment Management Program.

• Minimum of associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment, Engineering, Technology or a related field, or commensurate education and experience required.

• Must have current Indiana Driver's License with valid vehicle insurance.

• Must have Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) certification, or at least six (6) vendor certifications for specialist imaging systems upon hire, with the commitment of obtaining CRES or three (3) additional vendor certifications within three (3) years of hire.

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive and relevant previous experience servicing medical imaging equipment or related technology and systems or a minimum of three (3) years of experience as above while obtaining the required competency level, with minimum of five (5) additional years of relevant previous experience outside of the healthcare environment required.

• This position will participate in an on-call rotation for after hours and weekends.

• This position will require traveling to various Community Health Network sites of care in Anderson, IN.
