salary: 130-150K (possible flex for the right candidate)

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with a focus on land development or landfill projects to join our clients team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering design work with specific experience in landfill operations, grading, drainage, and capping projects. Experience in strictly highway projects would not be a good fit for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and engineering aspects of landfill projects, including grading, drainage, and capping.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful execution of engineering design work for land development and landfill projects.
- Provide technical expertise and oversight during the entire design process, from subcontractor procurement to construction closeout.
- Review project scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure alignment with client needs and project requirements.
- Utilize technical skills in Civil3D and Autocad to support the design and engineering of energy, oil, and gas projects as well as municipal landfill projects.

Required Skills & Experience

Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development and/or landfill projects.
- Proven expertise in engineering design work, including grading, drainage, and capping projects.
- Strong technical skills in Civil3D and Autocad.
- Experience in municipal landfill operations, as well as energy, oil, and gas projects.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes related to landfill projects.

Education:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.

Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience in engineering design work with a focus on land development or landfill projects.
