A client in the Pacific Northwest is looking for a Sr. Cloud Engineer to join their team! This is a full time, direct hire role that is a hybrid work environment. In this role you will be working in a hybrid azure environment with a team of engineers. In this position you will be responsible for helping this team with Azure optimization, design, implementation, and manage Azure Infrastructure Solutions. As a Cloud Engineer you will also help optimize azure for performance, scale, and cost efficiency. In addition, any experience with Azure Cost Management, Azure Advisor, Compute Plans, etc would be beneficial as you will be working with these tools in this position. Another portion of this role would be SQL Administration tasks, if you have any previous experience in SQL administration that would be a huge plus for both local and cloud-based SQL environments.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience within Infrastructure as a Cloud Engineer, System Engineer, DevOps Engineer or similar

4+ years of experience with Azure: Infrastructure Management, Resource Optimization, and experience with Azure infrastructure solutions

Experience within Azure regarding virtual machines, storage, virtual networks, Azure AD, O365, etc.

Experience with scripting, Powershell preferred

Understanding of Security and Compliance from a cloud perspective

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

SQL Administration experience
