Senior Communications Specialist (Communication Marketing Division Operations)

Position Summary

The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for developing internal and external communications and social media administration for the Communications and Marketing Department. Works under minimal supervision performing a variety of varied and complex tasks.

Key areas of responsibility: Planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating social media and engagement strategies to ensure they support the mission, vision and values and growth of the organization. Creates content strategy to support organizational goals and deploys multimedia content (video, infographics, webinars, copy, etc.) through a variety of channels. Drafts and executes communications plans as needed. Manages and executes content and execution of internal newsletters, including Asante News and Nursing News.

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, English, or equivalent work experience
Experience

  • 5 years of dynamic experience in public relations or communications, or a related field.
  • High-level proficiency in internal and external communications, content development, social media and community engagement
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing priorities and new challenges. Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience with content management systems, such as Word Press and blog platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin management, required
Preferred

  • Basic video and editing capabilities, preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress, preferred.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics for health care and implementation of UTM tracking, preferred
