Responsibilities:
• Manage and direct the activities of the process department in the repair and refurbishment of tooling and equipment to meet or exceed production goals.
• Training of technical personnel on overall machine function, process, and troubleshooting
• Oversee the tooling and equipment preventative maintenance programs to maintain continuous and efficient operations.
• Read and edit PLC logic, program and troubleshoot robotics, and evaluate, and troubleshoot electrical schematics
• Direct and prioritize the activities in fabricating new tooling, repairs, and refurbishing equipment and tooling.
• Lead the process team in assisting the Continuous Improvement activities towards maintaining optimal equipment operations and in improving OEE, downtime, and scrap.
• Participate and contribute to the safety, 5S, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Programming and installation of automation systems and interfacing with other factory control systems including PLC's, HMI's, robotics, drives and computers.
• Drive optimization of manufacturing equipment utilization through continuous improvement and rapid trouble shooting
• Oversee and support quotation, procurement and execution of all capital equipment related projects
• Maintains specified records and logs of repairs, maintenance-related activities
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures following an established program
• Follows applicable codes and regulations
• Implement LL and read across and best practice
• Performs other duties incidental to the position, as assigned
