The Sr. Coordinator, Learning Support collaborates with LKSOM educational administrative leaders to create programming for medical students at the North Philadelphia and St Luke's campuses and hospital residents and provides individual one on one support for those learners who need assistance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:
• Design and implement workshops for learners related to effective learning and study strategies and exam preparation.
• Work with learners to discuss the approach to learning, effective resources to support learning, time management/organizational skills, and test-taking strategies.
• Partner with learners to develop and implement individualized study plans, meeting with each learner as needed to ensure the effectiveness of the plan.
• Work with the Offices of Student Support and GME to identify learners who need academic support from the specialist.
• Collaborate with the Offices of Student Support and GME to ensure effective implementation of study plans.
• Collaborate with the Offices of UME, Student Support and GME to ensure effective implementation of plans for remediation of academic deficiencies.
• Facilitate referral for a learner as needed for psychoeducational testing.
• Collaborate with appropriate colleagues in the Offices of Student Support and GME to facilitate referral for a student as needed for disability services related to learning support.
• Collaborate with appropriate colleagues in the Offices of Student Support and GME to facilitate referral for a student as needed for mental and behavior health support.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree and at least two years of related experience. Prior professional experience working with learners in higher education/health sciences education also required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge about learning difficulties/disorders, provision of accommodations in alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act, FERPA and any institutional policies or other laws related to learner records is required.
• Experience in implementing academic support programs for graduate/professional learners preferred.

Preferred:
• Master's Degree

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
