Corporate Underwriting has an immediate opening for a Senior Workers Compensation Insurance Representative (WCIR) in the Underwriting Training Development Unit. This position, under the direction of the Assistant Corporate Underwriting Manager, provides the overall design and coordination for all training, which emanates from Corporate Underwriting workstreams. The nature and level of this work require the employee to have exceptional training presentation and public speaking skills, proficient technical expertise / analytical skills in underwriting and pricing disciplines, and strong organizational / time management skills.
The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Ability to coordinate, facilitate, and make presentations
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
• Skill to develop, provide, and monitor training
• Ability to effectively work with and relate with other people
• Skill to achieve results according to objectives
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing with a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as a team with co-workers and management to address and resolve issues
• Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate information to make and support decisions
• Proficient knowledge of underwriting advisories, policies, and procedures
• Working knowledge of workers' compensation insurance rules and regulations
New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement to alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.
