An international law firm spanning across the US/Europe/Asia is looking for a Sr. Data Engineer. They are seeking a detail focused and knowledgeable professional - the ideal fit for the role will have a strong background in IT and data mining or engineering and the ability to build bespoke systems to harness data. The key focus of the position is to build or maintain systems to capture and store data on behalf of the business.
The Sr. Data Engineer will be reviewing and analyzing existing data collection systems, and making recommendations on improvement, maintenance, or other factors to improve the system. They will develop, build, and implement new data collection systems where needed. They will provide training and guidance on new systems that are being implemented and keep the code used on file for future upgrades and repairs to the system.
They will manage and convert raw data into understandable information for other professionals. They will also ensure data is accessible to the required personnel to ensure the ease of understanding and access to the data needed to make informed business decisions. They will be responsible for training and mentoring junior engineers and ensuring that implemented data systems have the relevant security.
Compensation: $70/hr to $100/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in a large enterprise
- Bachelor's degree or above in IT, computer science, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Ability to read, understand and write code
- Ability to effectively manage data and its security
- Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated knowledge of data storage procedures
- Good report writing skills
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize own time and workload
- Integration Builder/ In Tap Integration experience
