JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for the research and understanding of all Patient Connection Center workflows in order to facilitate effective report writing, scorecard and dashboard development to support operational efficiency and strategic goals. Responsibilities include support and provisioning of departmental wide data systems, including ensuring of data integrity, data audits, data analysis and additional business-critical functions. Serves as the lead in supporting technical development of other analysts. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for departmental workflows and translates processes into accurate and sustainable reporting/analysis tools. Continuously monitors dashboard performances and makes updates or changes as required. Interacts and works closely with business intelligence, data architecture and leadership teams. May provide guidance and support to others analysts to ensure analytics and reporting is executed within expected timeframes and to meet business objectives.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or closely-related field is required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) years of progressively responsible data analytics and/or statistics experience. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Tableau, SQL, or other analytical tools.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) years of relevant experience in Patient Access, Physician Practice Operations, Contact Center or a similar healthcare setting involving reporting / analytics is preferred.
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills as well as strong skills related to the creation and modification of financial spreadsheets and other presentation-related software applications are required.
Strong skills utilizing deductive thinking and analysis of consequences required.
Additional software experience includes Crystal, Epic and Tableau reporting is preferred.
Epic reporting workbench, slicer dicer and clarity report writing preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains comprehensive and complete understanding of overlap and intersection between multiple patient pre-service systems, along with a thorough familiarity with electronic health record systems and other underlying systems and databases integral to the departments workflows and analytic needs.
2. Review and analyze reporting requests from PCC leadership and ensures issues with published/existing reports are resolved timely.
3. Maintain log of active reports by each functional area with annual review of all reports to ensure they are still active as needed.
4. Design, build, test and troubleshoot reports requested by leadership as well as the daily/weekly/monthly distribution of reports.
5. Identify the appropriate reporting solution to obtain data or reporting requests.
6. Modify and update existing reports to keep up with system and department modification in workflows or analytic changes.
7. Independently analyze set up structure and make changes to meet best practice performance within patient pre-service applications and data visualization tools.
8. Create, modify, and analyze financial spreadsheets and dashboards as required by the departmental stakeholders.
9. Perform all maintenance and edits to electronic work queues within Epic and all other related information systems, as requested by in compliance with content management governance and policies and procedures; work queues include but are not limited to those related to Financial Clearance, Deficiency Tracking, Coding, Charging, Billing, A/R Follow-up, and Denials Processing.
10. Load and test vendor supplied table and/or file updates.
11. Ensure all other related applications are maintained as appropriate per policy and procedures. Including maintaining, testing and providing support for key data tables.
12. Develop and maintain tracking logs of all master file imports to all PCC tools including Epic.
13. Develop a strong supportive and collaborative working relationship with PCC Leaders to ensure needs and expectations of analytics and reporting programs are met.
14. Ensure all established and related Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are upheld.
15. Adhere to Piedmont organizational policies and procedures for relevant location and job scope.
16. Complete and/or attend mandatory training and education sessions within approved organizational guidelines and timeframes.
17. Represents departmental reporting and analytic needs and serves as primary contact to business intelligence and data architecture teams, ensuring priority of request align with business needs and timeline expectations.
18. Provides guidance and support to others through demonstration of initiative and providing solutions that enable effective reporting and analytic deliverables.
19. Effectively communicates status of requests, prioritization of work and identifies or escalates roadblocks executing requests or reporting needs.
20. Conducts assessment and provides subject matter expertise on the impact of workflow or systematic changes to published metrics or reports; works with other analysts to ensure data integrity and accuracy following any change.
21. Assists in developing and leading overall analytics program and standards, including maintaining standard access to published reports and dashboards, standard change protocols and data auditing practices.
22. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
