As a Sr Data Science Developer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Sr Data Science Developer joining our team to to drive innovation and excellence in cloud computing solutions, enhancing our capabilities in serving our client's needs to provide quality data about the nation's people and economy.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Perform scientific work associated with the analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets; develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges
  • Design and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets.
  • Lead the development and deployment of predictive models and analytics solutions to solve business challenges.
  • Conduct data exploration and visualization to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain and enhance the data analytics platforms to support ongoing analytics and data science projects.
  • Provide guidance on best practices in data science and analytics within the team and organization.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to drive innovation in data analytics and model development.
  • Lead discussions with Federal clients and other data scientists
  • Work with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. This is a collegial atmosphere where everyone pitches in to ensure mission success.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering or relevant technology based discipline (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field)

Required Experience: 12 years of related experience
Required Technical Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience writing, maintaining, and customizing Python scripts that extract text from various formats, pull data from web-based APIs and relational databases
  • Experience with AWS/Cloud-native development
  • Proven expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL languages and tools for data analysis.
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures, building new algorithms, etc.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques to effectively present data insights.
  • Experience analyzing complex datasets to provide insightful solutions, enhancing data-driven decision-making processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different disciplines and levels of technical understanding

The likely salary range for this position is $128,000 - $192,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
