Seeking a highly qualified Database Administrator to perform a lead role in managing the development and support of enterprise databases that support our applications. The selected DBA must ensure the optimal performance and security of all production databases, advise management of potential risks and mitigations and proactively take steps to ensure smooth performance.

• Plan, design, develop, and implement moderately complex company database(s)/ Install, configure, and manage databases
• Identify data definition, structure, and long-range requirements
• Complete documentation of database(s), including operational guidelines and protection/ Establish database standards and guidelines.
• Implement complex logical data models and database designs, data access, and table maintenance codes based on the translation of business requirements
• Resolve database issues around performance, capacity, replication and other distributed data issues
• Identify information flow and content issues
• Maintain database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design
• May participate in on call rotations, monitoring service and problem requests, and work with customer to resolve issues in database and applications
• Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
• Guide various groups on application systems activities
• Work under general directions; typically reports to a team lead or supervisor/manager
• Ensure all relational databases are regularly and efficiently backed-up
• Develop and implement security model across all Relational Database Systems
• Proactively monitor activity and status of all Relational Database Systems. Identify potential system failures and act quickly and decisively to avoid system failures. Investigate current systems for possible improvements
• Respond to any issues involving Relational Database systems to ensure all applications remain in a high availability mode
• Participate in Data Integration projects as needed
• Participate in Data Cleansing projects as needed
• Develop, support, and maintain data integration, business intelligence, and other applications as assigned
• Act as a mentor to the programming staff, review code and suggest structural and performance improvements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
