Insight Global is seeking a Design Engineer candidate with over 7 years of experience to join a manufacturing and renewable energy company that specializes in Hydrogen Fuel cells. They would be working in the East Hartford location on their Phosphoric acid fuel cell team. They would be responsible for execution of the overall design, development, and integration of mechanical, structural, and thermal systems for hydrogen-based energy systems. The project would start with communicating with the customers/ management to take in requirements, plan and conceptualize what is feasible. Then they would design and assist with the product until implementation. They would be managing multiple sub-projects at once and they would bounce from project to project where extra help is needed. There are some aspects of overseeing the design team overall and mentoring the younger designers.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or designing engineering
- Experience working with mechanical design and thermo analysis
- Design experience with process piping designs (powerplants, electrolyzer, ships, boilers, industrial designs, generators, water treatment, oil and gas)
- Communicating with management to translate requirements into clear timelines and deliverables

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Working in a factory environment
- CREO or Windchill, (could be SolidWorks)
- Ansys (thermal or structural analysis)
- Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell experience or any Fuel cell experience
- Familiar with industry standards like ASTM, ASME, ISO, AWS, and JIS
