Our client, a global investment firm, is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the Reliability & Integration Engineering Team that is responsible for platform engineering. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter, demonstrating strong skills in troubleshooting and communication, which will align successfully in the organization. The candidate will also need to use their own device to connect via Citrix.

Job Title: Sr. DevOps Engineer
Location: Owings Mills, MD 21117
Pay Range: $54 - $58 / Per Hour (USD)

What's the Job?

• Responsible for migrating the private cloud Apigee API management platform to Apigee Hybrid, automating manual platform management processes through Ansible or other scripting tools/languages.
• Coordinating the migration with development & operations teams and collaborating with users of the platform.
• Support platform upgrades, migration including coordinating testing of upgrades with users of the platform.
• Develop training and documentation materials.
• Executing Disaster Recovery Playbooks.

What's Needed?

• 3+ years of experience within the Amazon Web Services platform or GCP or Azure; Cloud application architecture experience - Microservices, REST, etc.; Experience in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based solutions using AWS.
• 5+ years of systems design, programming, implementation, and integration experience; Demonstrate proficiency with scripting and automation (bash, python, other programming languages).
• Experience in Docker container development; container orchestration solutions with Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS/Fargate; Experience developing micro services in both multi-tenant and dedicated micro service runtime environments - familiar with the Open Container Initiative and both docker and containerd runtimes.
• A solid core foundation in infrastructure and systems engineering including Unix/Linux compute, networking, storage, and monitoring stacks.
• Off-hour implementations are required.
