The Amazon MGM Studios Distribution team is seeking a Sr. Digital Transactional Distribution Manager to optimize our global new release content by streamlining our transactional windowing strategy, cross-functional business planning across all aspects of our go-to-market initiatives, and lead our external business planning function. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing digital transactional distribution strategy, drive alignment and efficiencies in our international releases, and be able to formulate detailed, data-driven, actionable growth strategies.

Key job responsibilities

- Support the WW digital transactional (PEST, PVOD, EST, and VOD) home entertainment business by collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including Corporate Strategy, Theatrical Marketing, Consumer Research, Transactional Analytics and Partner Engagement teams, to optimize the window from theatrical to SVOD.

- Build and implement international media strategies for premium window releases, leveraging data and insights to drive engagement and conversion.

- Primary liaison for filmmakers and talent, ensuring clear communication and support throughout the home entertainment release.

- Identify and implement initiatives to drive efficiencies in shared assets and processes across international new release launches.

- Develop strategies informed by the latest industry and consumer research, lead external business reviews and internal strategy discussions.

- Ad hoc projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

A day in the life

- Lead day-to-day strategic engagement with Sr. Leadership, Corporate Strategy, Analytics, Marketing and Partner Engagement teams for the global new release business.

- Develop international release strategies, including release date management, optimizing windows, and paid media strategies to optimize the window from theatrical to SVOD.

- Manage ad hoc digital transactional distribution projects.

- Provide guidance and support to team members on project execution and problem-solving.

About the team

Amazon MGM Studios Distribution oversees the licensing of Amazon Studio's titles, as well as MGM new release and library movies and series such as film franchises James Bond, Rocky and Creed, and series The Handmaid's Tale, Vikings, and Fargo.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of experience in digital distribution, studio operations, or related fields within the entertainment industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong understanding of digital transactional distribution platforms, post-theatrical distribution models, and industry trends.

Experience working with major Digital Transactional Companies or Post-Theatrical Distribution at a Studio.

Track record of developing and executing successful digital distribution strategies that contribute to long-term growth.

Adaptability and resilience to quick changes in priorities, tools, workflow, and technology.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $99,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
