Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Service Lines, the Sr. Director of Service Line Clinical Strategy directs the clinical tactics for the future growth of TGH and the FHSC System. The Sr. Director is responsible for developing, monitoring, and supporting the execution of the FHSC Service Line clinical strategies including the development and execution of strategic initiatives. Project and programs will involve driving the development of an expansive hospital, physician and ambulatory network; service line clinical activity and representation; digital and clinical transformation; qualitative and quantitative clinical metric assessment; and overall growth and competitive positioning in our market. This function is an essential driver of organizational growth through partnership opportunities, business plan development, and agile clinical strategy execution.



Responsibilities include:

  • Establish and execute comprehensive clinical strategies and programs to support the organization's strategy, vision, values, and goals.
  • Translate vision into strategic and tactical execution of clinical Service Line programs across the FHSC System.
  • Think innovatively and strategically about differentiators and critical needs for clinical programming across the FHSC System.
  • Provide strategic leadership for clinical Service Line programs internally, as well as with providers, partners, community organizations, and applicable legislature bodies.
  • Understand the local healthcare landscape to look for key drivers & opportunities for innovative models of healthcare delivery.
  • Understand the unique regional health needs to drive development of programs and service.
  • Use analytics to identify key insights about the populations served and drive the development of the interventions to target unique populations.
  • Communicate with senior leadership on clinical Service Line strategy, programs and progress.
  • Engage in on-going performance management of staff including coaching, mentoring, development, training and succession planning to include hiring and termination decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional workgroups to guide program design, implementation and evaluation.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships and alignment with all departments and external partners to assure the advancement of organizational goals, programs and projects.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree with minimum five (5) years experience in health care with a focus on strategic planning, program design with 3 years of Leadership experience; or Bachelors minimum eight (8) years experience in health care with a focus on strategic planning, program design with 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of the patient care continuum the from outpatient, inpatient, and ambulatory settings.
