Sr. Dynamics Developer

Our client is in search of a seasoned Senior Dynamics 365 CE Developer and Administrator who possesses profound expertise in developing innovative solutions and application administration resulting in significant business value. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Dynamics 365 CE implementations spanning the SDLC, and demonstrated depth of operational experience supporting and enhancing the system. A significant part of this role will include working on a Microsoft Dynamics Quote-to-Cash ERP implementation with a strong understanding of CE capabilities including CRM, Sales, Customer Service, and Field Services. This function reports to the Director, Technical Architecture.
Key Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise (development and administration) in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE (including Sales, Field Service, Customer Service).
• Responsible for Tier III issues to triage, conduct troubleshooting, provide break-fix resolution.
• Assist in maintaining system through test and deployment of patches and hotfixes.
• Analyze Microsoft enhancements and updates to Dynamics, assessing impact to implementation and developing action plans to apply enhancements and eliminate issues.
• Manage and report on metrics related to the operations, performance, and availability of Dynamics365 CE.
• Manage non-production environments with configuration and data synchronization, automated backups, and decommissioning of environments no longer in use.
• Proactively identify improvement or optimization opportunities based on best practices.
• Merge custom solutions with solutions developed by Microsoft, ISVs, third parties, or internal solutions. This delivery may include merging and promoting code to UAT and Build/Release environments.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance our IT landscape.
• Integrate diverse technologies and systems, ensuring seamless interoperability.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Ensure all solutions comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement best practices for data security, encryption, and privacy.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
• Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement performance tuning strategies to optimize system efficiency and user experience.
• Monitor and maintain system health and stability and provide operational visibility to IT leadership and team.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.

Key Qualifications

• 5-10 years of Dynamics 365 CE development experience, including experience working for an end-user or partner in a Sr. Developer or Technical Architect role.
• At least one (1) full-cycle Dynamics 365 implementation in a lead technical role. Three (3) or more implementations are preferred.
• Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
• Experience designing, configuring, deploying, and using CI/CD platforms (GitHub, Azure DevOps)
• Responsible for Tier III issues to triage, conduct troubleshooting, provide break-fix resolution.
• Manage and report on metrics related to the operations, performance, and availability of Dynamics365 CE components.
• Experience with Azure Federated Services, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and associated technologies.
• Understanding of plugins and C#.
• Proficient in JavaScript, PowerFX
• 3+ years experience with both custom canvas and model-driven apps
• 3+ years of developing PowerAutomate cloud flows
• 3+ years of Dynamic 365 portals - HTML, CSS, Liquid
• Understanding of code extension methodology and pros/cons of each approach: event handlers, chain of command.
• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Demonstrable understanding of how/when to apply specific integration strategies.
• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of data migration approaches.
• Competent in FetchXML.
• Experience with XRMToolbox and associated apps.
• Demonstrable understanding of how/when to apply specific approaches to data migration.
• Experience with Dual-Write, Power Platform, and Dataverse is required.
• (Preferred) Experience with Jira.
• (Preferred) Experience with MS Dynamics F&O.
• (Preferred) Relevant certifications, Bachelor's Degree.
