We are seeking to hire an experienced Sr. E&I Engineer for a company in Laplace, LA. Reporting to the Manufacturing Technology Manager, you will provide technical leadership and support for our Electrical and Instrumentation infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Implement improvements in systems capabilities using Six Sigma methodology.
  • Collaborate with line leadership, technical resources, operators, and mechanics.
  • Provide technical assistance for top-line growth, asset effectiveness, and improvement programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of process instrumentation equipment.
  • Stay updated on 2.4 kV and 480V switchgear, protective relays, motor control centers, and uninterruptible power systems.
  • Develop predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical equipment failures, determine root cause, and prevent recurrence.
  • Design applications of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Evaluate and improve accuracy, reliability, and calibration records.
  • Recommend and install new instruments for reliable process control.
  • Assist E&I Technicians with troubleshooting and calibration.
  • Support capital projects and alarm management.
  • Participate in PHA and LOPAs.
  • Support ABB DCS and Allen-Bradley PLC.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software.
  • Demonstrate results-oriented mindset, commitment, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7-15 years of electrical engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of industrial plant experience with knowledge of PSM systems.
  • Proactive and independent worker.
  • Strong collaboration and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of National Electrical Code and Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
  • Track record of leading projects and teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
