A rapidly growing family law firm is searching for a tech-savvy Senior Family Law Paralegal to support one attorney from a remote position. The firm is based out of Cupertino, CA so candidates must be located within California. They are looking for someone with at least 5 years of family law paralegal experience to help oversee a caseload of 35-45 cases and serve as the primary liaison between clients and attorney. Salary Range: $37 - $45 / hour DOE

Senior Family Law Paralegal Requirements:
  • 5+ years of dedicated experience in Family Law
  • Paralegal certificate is preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Strong communication abilities and professional phone presence
  • Must have experience with legal processes and regulations specific to California
  • Proficiency in using legal software such as My Case CRM
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting
  • Demonstrated capability to handle a high caseload effectively
  • Familiarity with drafting, calendaring, and e-filing procedures
  • Candidates must live in California

Senior Family Law Paralegal Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and attorneys, ensuring clear and timely communication
  • Oversee a caseload of 35-45 cases, managing all aspects from initiation to resolution
  • Prepare legal documents, including motions, subpoenas, and trial preparations
  • Maintain accurate legal calendars to ensure no deadlines are missed
  • Handle electronic filing of court documents, primarily for courts in Northern California
  • Conduct comprehensive discovery processes to gather and analyze pertinent information and documents
  • Draft and manage the issuance of subpoenas to procure necessary evidence and witness testimony
  • Develop and file legal motions pertinent to ongoing cases
  • Assist in preparing cases for trial, including organizing exhibits, documents, and witness lists
  • Keep track of all case-related deadlines to ensure timely submissions and compliance with court schedules
