About the Role

As a CBRE Finance Sr. Analyst, you'll apply advanced cash and accrual accounting fundamentals to prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver complete and accurate financial reports for a complex portfolio of CBRE clients and properties.

This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They are responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.


What You'll Do

Complete intermediate to advanced-level accounting transactions in preparation for client financial statement packages.

Build and post journal entries. Ensure that all expenses, receipts, owner's distributions, funding requests, and other transactions have been accurately posted.

Generate and review financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting. Prepare packages on a schedule to ensure timely delivery to the client and other management teams.

Conducts and documents simple to moderate standard financial analysis and ad hoc finance projects. Supports organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control.

Evaluates and analyzes a broad range of financial results and indicators such as capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial documents, etc. Recommends actions that may be taken to improve financial results.

Compiles budgetary and fiscal data received from assigned departments to prepare revenue balance statements and historical comparisons of departmental expenditures with requested appropriations.

Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends, and costs, estimated, and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses.

Review and audit funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation, and authorization in accordance with established operating procedures.

Assists in preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations.

Prepares reports analyzing specific aspects of department structures, functions and operational procedures and recommends ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Generate financial variance reports through the use of tools that include, but not limited to, PowerBi and TM1.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to tackle slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Finance, Sr. Analyst position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Finance, Sr. Analyst position is $120,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
