This position provides critical support services to the various executive branch agency partners by assisting agency staff in the procurement of goods and services to enable them to meet their operational goals and mission. This position manages the relationships and transactions as it relates to all purchases and receivables. Maintaining records for all vendors, key suppliers, and the negotiated purchasing agreements between other agency or organization. In addition, this role will be responsible for assisting with the procurement process, including contract management, contract negotiation and preparation of purchase orders. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our commitments to customers are met.
Pay dependent on experience: $40-$50 hourly

Required Skills & Experience

Job Responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply state procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.
Working knowledge of state and familiarity with state government procurement policies for the purchase of goods and services.
Aid with maintaining Policy and adhering to code of Virginia standards for the ODGA.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize a variety of procurement processes.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Skill in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other databases, and a state or federal electronic procurement system.
Ability to organize and maintain contract files and records.
Ability to work independently, managing own time and work. Required Experience
Proven work experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role.
Considerable understanding of Account Payables and Account Receivables processes.
Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

A good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
A solid understanding of purchasing and invoicing systems.
A good understanding of reviewing contracts and MOUs
