We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Financial Analyst to join our Supply Chain Finance team. This role is critical in collaborating closely with various business partners and enhancing the financial and operational performance of the supply chain. The ideal candidate will have expertise in supply chain finance, FP&A, CAPEX analytics, reporting, and strategic business partnering, with a strong understanding of freight operations. The role will focus on improving reporting efficiency, enhancing data accuracy, and delivering impactful financial insights that drive decision-making.

What You Will Do
  • Freight Financial Management:
    • Analyze and manage the financial aspects of freight operations, focusing on optimizing freight lanes, evaluating rate changes, and selecting the most cost-effective freight modes.
    • Collaborate with logistics teams to assess freight cost drivers, implement strategies to reduce transportation expenses, and negotiate with vendors to secure favorable rates.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of freight data to identify opportunities for cost optimization, improving lane efficiency, and reducing unnecessary expenditures.
    • Provide insights into freight budget forecasting, spend tracking, and risk mitigation, ensuring financial decisions are aligned with overall supply chain goals.
    • Develop models to track and predict the impact of market trends and economic fluctuations on freight costs, advising on strategies to minimize risks and maintain profitability.
    • Continuously review and refine freight processes to ensure alignment with business objectives, while driving initiatives that improve efficiency and enhance profitability across the supply chain.
  • Supply Chain FP&A
    • Provide detailed financial analysis and insights for the supply chain team, including variance analysis, cost tracking, and forecasting.
    • Support the development of the annual budget and periodic financial reviews.
    • Support financial analysis and reporting on the ongoing cost and efficiency initiatives within the supply chain.
    • Guide financial decision-making on CAPEX projects by providing thorough analysis, risk assessment, and ROI evaluations, ensuring that investments align with strategic goals and deliver long-term value.
    • Driving transformation by improving report generation efficiency and enhancement of data accuracy.
    • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit by proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and cost optimization, driving continuous growth and operational excellence within the supply chain.
  • Support Supply Chain Functions:
    • Possess a deep understanding of freight operations and market dynamics, with the ability to clearly explain freight cost fluctuations to business partners, including the economic drivers behind those changes and their direct impact on the P&L.
    • Support Supply Chain gravity studies with the financial data required to evaluate optimal hub locations by analyzing customer proximity, manufacturing sites, and logistics efficiency, ensuring strategic decisions that reduce costs and improve service delivery.
    • Drive the management of optimal inventory levels by analyzing and addressing slow-moving and excess stock, providing insights to improve turnover, reduce carrying costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment with supply chain optimization efforts.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Collaborate with supply chain and business unit partners to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
    • Develops effective working relationships with key stakeholders, promotes teamwork, and involves others in decision-making processes.
    • Actively fosters, supports, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across business partners.
    • Strong communication of financial and data analysis to support business decisions.
    • Present financial information and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.


    Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
    • 4-6 years of experience in Corporate Finance and financial analysis
    • Experience utilizing SQL, Tableau/Business Objects, Power Pivot/Power Query.
    • Experience in integrating data from disparate sources to create cohesive and insightful reports.
    • Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial and data analysis clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to travel up to 10%


    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or procurement finance a plus.
    • Experience utilizing SAP, One Stream, R and Python
