The Amazon Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Recruiting team is seeking a talented, customer focused recruiter with a passion for delighting the client and candidate, to join our recruiting organization. You will be supporting AWS teams dedicated to working on behalf of our commercial sector customers to drive candidate generation strategies in partnership with your clients.

Successful recruiters on this team will utilize their experience in setting benchmarks, forecasting and tracking against metrics while prioritizing to meet hiring targets. They thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, and have fun to get the job done. They draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition and functional areas of the business, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders and hiring managers.

Key job responsibilities

• \tPartner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.

• \tRecruit passive science candidates and possess the mentality to identify and gauge chemistry of candidates for role fit and understand their motivation rather than sell a role.

• \tProvides strategic guidance and becomes an advisor business leader in matters related to technical and non-technical hiring by delivering results.

• \tDevelop sourcing models and plans to generate technical and non-technical talent pools, create and execute robust search strategies that will attract the best and brightest talent and calibrate job profiles with hiring managers.

• \tRecommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.

• \tArticulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.

• \tInterview candidates within the framework of the position specification. Possess strong ability to screen, interview and prepare a candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.

• \tParticipate in and/or own special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top performers for senior-level

openings.

About the team

"The Artificial General Intelligence team is responsibly advancing the company's generative AI technologies, including Amazon's most expansive multimodal Large Language Models." The AGI Talent Acquisition team is focused on the delivery of top talent in support of this mission.

This role will be focused on delivering Science talent within North America and will support multiple leaders across AGI. The recruiter in this role will be focused on hiring within the Applied Science, Research Science, and Data Science domains.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• \tBachelor's degree or equivalent post-secondary degree.

• \t5+ years of corporate and or search firm progressive recruiting experience including sourcing and full life cycle recruiting.

• \tExperience building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and internet research.

• \tCTS/ATS experience with sourcing, tracking and managing candidates

• \tMS Office - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

• \tExperience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• \tExperience recruiting candidates in the Science, Research, and Generative Artificial Intelligence industries. Specifically Applied Science, Research Science, and Data Science.

• \tClient focus and commitment to continuous improvement; ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, must pursue conscious cost-containment efforts in recruiting, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates to the customer.

• \tStrong communication skills, organizational and negotiation skills.

• \tAbility to execute recruitment strategies, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management.

• \tExperience understanding how to balance business needs and candidate experience

• \tStrong consulting skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as a team leader and member.

• \tPossess strong analytic skills with ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team.

• \tLeadership experience managing recruiters and coordinators

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
