Job Summary

The Sr. HR Generalist/Safety Coordinator responsibilities will include pre-payroll, pre-hire processes, orientation & onboarding, employee relations, workers compensation, ensuring consistent compliance of personnel policies & regulatory compliance standards in addition to various administrative functions. You will develop, implement, and maintain the company's health and safety program ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing questions and concerns related to HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues, including conflicts and disputes, in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and recommend interventions to enhance employee productivity and engagement.
  • Identify training needs within the organization and collaborate with internal or external resources to deliver targeted training sessions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and industry trends, and make recommendations for policy revisions or additions as necessary.
  • Manage employee records and HRIS systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality of information.
  • Assist with payroll processing, benefits administration, and other HR administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of health and safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other related documentation
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's health and safety program ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in H.R. and Safety within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in Environmental Health and Safety Compliance laws, procedures, and regulations.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish.
