Job Summary:

Sr. Manager, (or Corporate) Maintenance Performance and Reliability (M&R) to provide strategic and tactical leadership that's solution oriented for developing a cross functional reliability team. The goal of Greyhound Lines, Inc's (GLI) Maintenance Performance & Reliability Manager is to deliver predictable life cycles through the development of programs and strategies to maximize the useful life of company assets. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and execute a world class maintenance program embedded across the Maintenance Operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop equipment & maintenance standards & processes that leverage resources while maximizing internal competency networks.
  • to eliminate waste maintenance personnel required to maintain equipment performance, and enable field teams to deliver best in class equipment availability
  • Lead and inspire the maintenance dept. to achieve business objectives safely and effectively, with a focus on enhancing equipment reliability.
  • Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifecycle by leveraging emerging technology trends.
  • Collaborate with internal & external partners to adopt advanced maintenance management practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Formulate and execute maintenance strategies, including preventive maintenance and equipment reliability enhancement.
  • Guide the development and performance management of Maintenance Leaders to meet organizational goals.
  • Oversee capital projects and significant maintenance activities within the maintenance department.
  • Develop and maintain SME level knowledge on DOT, FMCSA, emerging technology trends, and world class maintenance practices
  • Develop and drive clear business driven metrics to track fleet performance
  • Drive consistency of process, standards, and reporting across functional teams
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and continuous improvement support of all field-based GLI maintenance locations.
  • Collaborates in the development and implementation of long-term maintenance & capital plans with short term goals in furtherance of the organization's vision, mission, and values.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholder's groups, vendors and contractors to maintain a network of support to improve existing performance methods & technologies.
  • Lead new projects, planning, and maintenance initiatives; review strategies and functionality of new projects with stakeholders, SME's & Maintenance Group.
  • Contribute to the delivery of strategic and operational objectives by reducing costs, improving efficiency, productivity & safety of the maintenance organization.
  • Responsible for preparing and administering budgets. Assume ownership of key planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for areas of responsibility.

What You'll Need
  • 10+ years of experience managing groups that provide diverse maintenance/engineering support
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of mission-critical facilities infrastructure requirements, including interpretation and application of building codes and working knowledge of building codes and safety standards including OSHA, NFPA, NEC, UBC, and others as applicable
  • The ability to lead and execute through continuous improvement processes, and to then proceed to influence peers to adopt these best practices throughout the organization
  • Experience implementing and executing Reliability Centered Maintenance programs
  • Disciplined negotiator in large contract negotiations, able to balance cost, financial, quality and legal terms in complex negotiations
  • Proven leader with exceptional high-level strategic, operational, and interpersonal skills demonstrating broad expertise in FC facilities development, property management, construction with multiple sites and experience dealing with regulatory committees.
  • Successful track record of completing large-scale FC capital projects.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment

    *Note: This will be a remote job with travel to all maintenance facilities and occasional meetings in Dallas, TX.
