Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a goal-oriented, motivated, outgoing individual who enjoys impact-driven work and can think both strategically and tactically. We are seeking individuals who can strike a balance between employing their existing skills and network for success while simultaneously creating new initiatives and relationships to facilitate exponential engagement and growth.

In this role, you will serve as a key member of the Volo Kids Foundation leadership team to promote structure and sustainability for the organization nationwide. The incoming individual will prioritize business-wide success by maintaining financial processes and operations, collaborating with the development team to establish spend narrative and reporting processes for grants and major gifts, and promoting best practices for accounting, budgeting, and compliance.


Financial Operations

• Support budget development through historic analysis, forecasting, and identification of potential risk
• Manage expenditures and cash flow
• Manage financial & accounting platforms
• Oversee monthly close process
• Work in collaboration with Executive Director to accounting functions and operations
• Process & Monitor AP / AR
• Process payroll & reporting for part-time and full-time employees and outside contractors
• Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare detailed reports on the Foundation's financial performance - including revenue, AP & AR, and other monthly reports
• Analyze and ensure accuracy of financial information
• Monitor internal controls
• Oversee and prepare income statements
• Work with Foundation leadership to support growth strategy through financial planning and consultation
• Facilitate annual financial audit in collaboration with outside audit firm
• Provide documentation and financial information needed for annual 990 tax filings

Fundraising Operations and Implementation

• Work with the Foundation Development team to ensure that all financial documents are accurate and up-to-date for grant writing and reporting purposes
• Provide any needed financial paperwork for grant and funding efforts, including expenditure reports and month/year end close documentation
• Create and maintain processes to streamline reporting for all fundraising revenue
• Collaborate with Foundation Development to analyze revenue streams and create comprehensive reports to steer future fundraising efforts
