The Amazon Publisher Monetization Prime Video SVOD Ads team is looking for an experienced engineering leader to own the infrastructure and technical roadmap for differentiated video advertising products that will delight advertisers and viewers alike.

Video advertising is an increasingly complex, multi-sided market with many technologies and players. The industry is rapidly growing and evolving as viewers are shifting from traditional TV viewing to Streaming TV and publishers are increasingly adding video content to their online experiences. Prime Video has a unique combination of assets in our premium video content, wide customer reach, Amazon audience insights, and more, and thus is uniquely positioned to become the lead publisher for Streaming TV ads globally. We are looking for a strong engineering leader to scale the team, build best in class advertiser experiences, and deliver a scalable system that will delight customers worldwide.

Key job responsibilities

Own technical vision and direction: You identify and mitigate risks, construct project schedules, and prepare status reports; you embrace performance metrics and measurement techniques because they help you assess how well system-related services are running.

Develop your team: You'll be accountable for developing an engineering team that delivers results. This means you'll wear a lot of hats - from coaching individuals, to leading technical discussions, recruiting, establishing processes, and so on. You'll be an example of Amazon's leadership principles and work to grow more leaders within your group.

Collaborate on product direction: You'll build and maintain strong relationships between engineering, product management and partner disciplines (Product, User Experience, QA) to ensure that we're focused on delivering the right product for customers.

Lead beyond your team: You will be a key leader within Amazon's advertising organization. You will contribute to the overall growth of our product development organization. You'll share your best practices and technical acumen in order to drive technology decisions across our organization.

Own your own shop: Our products reach hundreds of millions of customers around the world. We run operations 24x7x365 and the services your team delivers must meet high standards for operational excellence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of engineering experience

- 5+ years of engineering team management experience

- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience

- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience partnering with product and program management teams

- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $198,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $342,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
