The Sr. Marketing Database Analyst will be responsible for the development, management and maintance of our marketing engagement data warehouse.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with business, product management and senior engineering managers to clarify business requirements and provide effective technical designs aligning with industry best practices
  • Support the design and implementation of complex data processing pipelines as part of a dynamic and fast-paced team
  • Contribute across the platform, or products in areas like technology, team skills, process, shared components and quality
  • Manage database efficiency
  • ETL development and management
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements
  • Proactively troubleshoot data quality issues by identifying the root cause of data discrepancies and determining resolution
  • Understands high level end to end solution including data flows
  • Build positive relationships within the cross-functional team to help foster and promote collaboration
  • Provide actionable recommendations, and work with partners across the business to ensure that necessary technology is in place to support data, campaign execution, process tracking, among other business needs
  • Promote innovative thinking and solutions
  • Engage on other internal and external projects as needed to achieve business and growth goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience leading projects / programs from planning through execution
  • 7+ years of decision support, data analysis, and/or business analysis
  • Solid experience in the following - BigData ETL, Spark, Scala
  • Solid experience database technologies - SQL, PL/SQL or T-SQL
  • Experience in Azure (preferred) or any cloud platform
  • Experience in the following - Python, JSON, Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins
  • Experience working in highly interactive partnership with product management teams
  • Experience working in Agile (scrum) environment
  • API experience
  • Knowledge of AHA, Rally, GitHub
  • Knowledge of data analytic systems (Unica, Tableau Power BI, SAS, SQL)
  • Working knowledge of relation databases, database models and design, systems design, data management, data warehouse
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Data streaming and data storage
  • Proven thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks
  • Proven to be proactive, self-starter with drive to build first-class operational processes
  • Proven solid team player with ability to develop effective working relationships across the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with end-to-end marketing support
  • Experience in fast-paced, complex project management, and an ability to juggle shifting timelines and priorities
  • Knowledge of the Medicare, Medicaid or Individual Marketplace
  • Knowledge of Adobe tool suite (including Adobe Analytics, AJO, etc.)
  • Track record of establishing effective cross-functional partnerships and relationships at all levels in a highly collaborative environment
  • Proven solid communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with the ability to cross technical and non-technical stakeholders

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
